….my buttons!
Hey! It’s Sunday….and I’m at work…again… banging out a quicky.
The final push is in full effect. Last Monday and Tuesday I was down on ol’ Zoot. Moved down with the V-berth cushions and did a bunch of tiding up and cleaning. The V-berth has been a storage space for 3 years so you can get an idea. I also took off the boat covers, cleared the decks and spent 3 hours on my hands and knees with 2 hand brushes and laundry detergent getting 3 years of grit off.
Every thing looks good to go with the motor so I finalized the instrument panel made of 4mm plywood, not ideal and sexy but no time for any thing fancy.

Clockwise from top right. Display panel with rpm’s, battery voltage, amp usage, motor and controller temps. Rotary switch for prop braking/regen (yet to be proven). Key switch, green light and a big ass kill switch.
Meanwhile back home, I’ve the tiller for repairs. The holes were messed up so I drilled/filled/drilled them. I also fattened the cheeks and painted them white. And finished with deck oil. 2 thru screws hold it to the stainless bracket with a 3rd screw for the bracket tongue….which f-ing broke #$#@@#!!! Plus I tried to remove/scape some paint off the tongue area and it came out shitty so……my tiller is still a bit disappointing… but will do for know…. along with many other things.

Plus there is a new member of the Zoot Allures family which resembles my bladder at 6am…yet to be presented.

On Tuesday I’m heading down with a car full of sails and cushions and what nots and am going to paint the hull with antifoul paint. Shit’s gotten real!
Plus on Tuesday it’s gonna get real hot.
Stay tuned,
Capt. Pete.
ps… this conference is about hypertension. Good thing they don’t know the state I’m in. Otherwise they would be sticking needles into me!
It is good to see you still have the dream, hard work but you will enjoy the benefits. Tom
